How
ECU remapping is done
An engine remap involves adjusting the fuel, boost, and torque characteristics of the engine through control of fuel pressure, injected fuel quantity, maximum visible smoke limit, turbocharger boost pressure, and torque characteristics. This results in a fully customisable change to the engine characteristics while still ensuring that the engine operates within all preset sensor limits and retains complete engine feedback control.
During a stage 2 remap, the ECU is reprogrammed with new software or firmware to alter the default settings provided by the manufacturer. This remapping process allows for increased power output, improved torque, and enhanced overall performance.
